It’s hard to believe that another Coachella concert is right around the corner. In just three months, dozens of bands will be hitting the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California for two weekends of nonstop music. And per the latest lineup, you can expect quite a few Latin rockers in the mix.

One of Coachella’s biggest stars will undoubtedly be 3Ball MTY. The experimental Mexican group blends house music with tribal sounds and has proven to be hugely popular throughout Latin American. In the last year alone, they’ve picked up a ton of awards and this appearance could officially break them out in the U.S.

As members DJ Sheeqo Beat, DJ Otto and DJ Rooster simply put on their Twitter page, “COACHELLA #2013 ! #WORLDWIDE.”

Fans of old school Latin rock will be in for a thrill at this year’s Coachella fest too. The one-and-only Rodriguez will be breaking out his guitar at the Sunday show. Popularized by the Oscar-nominated documentary Searching for Sugar Man, Rodriguez put out two legendary albums in the 1970’s and has had a major resurgence in recent years.

Those who prefer more straightforward guitar grunge will definitely want to catch Café Tacvba. These Mexican alt rockers have been blasting out hits since the early 90’s and sold millions of records across the globe. Café also collaborated with Calle 13 on the smash “No Hay Nadie Como Tu,” which gives us hope that perhaps some “special guests” may join them on stage.

And what would Coachella be without some intense DJ sets? In that department, Latino fans will have their choice between Danny Avila and Luciano. 17-year-old Avila, who hails from Spain, has been called a turntable prodigy and already shared the stage with legends like Afrojack and Tiesto. Chilean-born Luciano has a huge fanbase too and developed some impressive tropical/techno/house mashups.

Add to that, heavy duty headliners like The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blur and you’ve got yourself an impressive two weeks. To find out more about the massive list of performers, visit the official Coachella website. And set your calendars for April 12, because it promises to be one helluva show!
