Chief Medical Editor for NBC News Dr. Nancy Snyderman thinks you should get the flu shot. When she joined me on Mondays With Marlo, Dr. Snyderman explained that virus that causes influenza changes every year. Even if you've never gotten the flu, you're still at risk.
Dr. Snyderman stressed that it's not too late to get vaccinated -- the flu outbreak may last until March or April. After getting the vaccine it takes 10 - 14 days for antibodies to take effect, so she advised getting your flu shot as soon as possible.
