'Spartacus' Final Season Recap: Simon Merrells On Playing Crassus (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

Simon Merrells Talks Playing Crassus On 'Spartacus'

Now that the final season of "Spartacus" has premiered, we only have eight episodes left with our valiant rebels before the Starz series lays down its arms for good. We're still trying to reconcile ourselves to the loss, but we're offering a balm to help soothe the sting.

Every week after the West Coast airing of "Spartacus: War Of The Damned" (10 p.m. PST/1 a.m. EST), The Huffington Post is hosting an exclusive video recap featuring one of the stars of the series. The actors will reminisce with HuffPost TV's Laura Prudom about their experience filming that week's episode, their character's arc, and how they approached the end of the resilient series.

In this week's video, we're talking to Simon Merrells, who plays the imposing Marcus Crassus, Spartacus' most dangerous adversary yet. Watch above for Merrells' experience filming "Wolves at the Gate" and Crassus' intriguing alliance with Caesar (Todd Lasance).

"Spartacus: War of the Damned" airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on Starz.
