Looks like Peter Facinelli really is over his ex-wife, Jennie Garth.
The "Twilight" star, 39, was photographed smooching his new lady love, actress Jaimie Alexander, 28, while participating in DirectTV's 7th Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl in New Orleans, La., on Feb. 2. The lovebirds cuddled up close before sharing a sweet kiss off the field. Touchdown, Facinelli!
Facinelli and his "Nurse Jackie" co-star Alexander went public with their romance late last fall, when they were spotted holding hands leaving NYC restaurant The Penny Farthing in November. Since then, the pair have attended numerous events together, including the premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," the screening of "Loosies" in the Big Apple and the SAG Awards last week.
Facinelli and his wife of 11 years, Garth, announced their separation in March before he filed for divorce. And although Garth has moved on herself -- she's dating Big Gigantic rocker Jeremy Salken -- the 40-year-old still admits her ex's new relationship "stings."
"I think there will come a time when it won't sting so bad. But I'm not quite there yet," she told People in December, adding, "You know, I am happy that he is happy, though."
As for Alexander, she's happy too.
"Peter's a classy guy who cares a lot about the people [around him] and ... he makes me laugh," the actress gushed to Us Weekly recently. "That's really more than I've ever found with anyone else."
