Actor Kevin Bacon is not your typical limosine-riding, limelight-loathing celebrity.
In interviews published recently, Bacon revealed that he takes daily rides on New York City's public transportation. "The Following" star also admitted he loves to be recognized when he's out and about.
"I take the subway every day. It's the fastest way to get around the city," Bacon told People magazine in an interview published on Feb. 1. "When I'm on the train, I play Solitaire, Angry Birds and Backgammon on my phone."
In a January interview with the Guardian's Observer Magazine, Bacon conceded that he revels in the recognition he gets from fans.
"Fame is very much a double-edged sword. I had a prosthetic disguise made, because I wanted to see what it would be like not to be recognized," he said, per the Observer. "I didn't like it very much -- no one was nice to me. People didn't bother me, but they also looked right through me."
"Actors want to be famous," he added.
