Former active duty Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha is a hero. His son is an adorable little ham.

On Monday, young Colin Romesha took the stage at a White House ceremony honoring his father, who received the Medal of Honor. According to CBS, the toddler checked out the podium where President Barack Obama would speak and tried to sit in a chair reserved for the older Romesha.

"Colin is not as shy as Clint," President Obama said during his speech, according to ABC News. "He was in the Oval Office, and he was racing around pretty good and sampled a number of the apples before he found the one that was just right."

In October 2009, Clinton Romesha helped repel the deadly attack on Combat Outpost Keating in Afghanistan, which led to the honor, the AP reported.
