Melissa Rauch, 'Big Bang Theory' Star, Made First TV Appearance As 'The View' Audience Member (VIDEO)

Which 'Big Bang Theory' Star Made TV Debut On 'The View'?

These days, Melissa Rauch plays Bernadette on CBS' mega-hit comedy "The Big Bang Theory." But back in 1998, the actress made her TV debut as a high school audience-member on "The View."

Rauch told the story of her first TV appearance Thursday on the ABC daytime talk show. "Well, I wrote in for tickets. It was before email, so I wrote a long letter. I was like, 'I want to come!' And I came with my best friends from high school. It was my TV debut," Rauch explained, as "The View" flashed back to show old footage of her sitting in the crowd. Rauch joked that the old footage was taken before she discovered what a blow-dryer and concealer were.

Later, when Rauch was trying to make it as a comedian, she tried to get on “The View’s Comedy Corner” by sending in a pair of shoes with a note saying she already had one foot in the door and was hoping to get the other in too. She never got a call, but got to have her second "View" moment fifteen years after her first.
