(DETROIT) -- Strong wind gusts have been forecasted for the Detroit area, throughout the day Tuesday. Officials say this could cause hazardous travel conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the area, with the advisory remaining in effect through 7 p.m. The NWS forecast states that wind gusts are expected to frequently reach 45 mph throughout the day.

Forecasters also predict that heavy bursts of snow will limit visibility on the roads at times to between half of a mile and one mile. By Tuesday evening, snow accumulation is expected to reach approximately one inch in some areas.
