Megan Fox, Michael Bay Team For 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'

Megan Fox Reunites With Man She Called 'Hitler'

Megan Fox and Michael Bay have apparently reconciled. Fox has joined the cast of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," the live-action and animation hybrid that Bay is producing for Paramount. (Jonathan Liebesman is directing.) Bay announced the casting news on his website, once again eschewing trades like Variety and Deadline.com.

"TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!" Bay wrote on MichaelBay.com. The producer didn't reveal what role Fox would play, but according to THR she's set for April O'Neil, reporter and human friend to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Actress Judith Hoag played O'Neil in the 1990 film version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

That Fox and Bay would team up on any project after "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is somewhat of a surprise. The actress infamously compared Bay to Hitler in a 2009 interview with Wonderland magazine.

He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for, but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it's endearing to watch him.

After making those comments, Fox parted ways with the "Transformers" series. (She was replaced by Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon.") The actress said she left of her own volition, but in 2011 GQ piece about the incident, Bay noted that "Transformers" producer Steven Spielberg wanted Fox fired after the Hitler remarks.

She sent me a text three months ago. She said, "I hope you're doing well." I responded, "Who is this?" She goes, "Megan, you dork!" I said, "Oh, well, thank you, hope you're well." When you're days and months on a set, it's like a family. You say rude things and you make up.
