James Lipton On Marco Rubio's Performance In The State Of The Union Response (VIDEO)

WATCH: James Lipton On Marco Rubio's Performance In SOTU Response

James Lipton, actor, writer, and host of "Inside The Actor's Studio," believes Marco Rubio "failed" at his first major public appearance saying the Florida senator suffered from "stage fright" when he reached for his bottle of water during his speech.

Joining HuffPost Live's Alyona Minkovski and Josh Zepps, Lipton discussed the Oscars, the return of "Arrested Development" and what he called Obama's "superb" speaking ability.

"Want to know one of the greatest performances I've ever seen in my life on a stage on a screen anywhere?" Lipton asked. "It was 2 years ago at the White House Correspondent's dinner when he took on Donald Trump and he was hilarious. He killed."

This Sunday, Lipton will be live-blogging the Oscars for AOL.com.
