Jennifer Lawrence revealed that off all the people she wanted to see at the Oscars Sunday night, she was most looking forward to saying hello to Al Roker.
While on the red carpet before the show started, CNN's Piers Morgan asked Lawrence who she was most excited to see.
"I want to see Al Roker," she said. Morgan was unable to hide his astonishment. "Out of all the people you could possibly see—Al Roker?!" he asked.
Lawrence said that she used to watch him every morning before school and that it would mean a lot to her personally to see him. "Actors are great but I love Al Roker," she pressed. On Monday's "Today" show, host Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie gushed over Lawrence's revelation. "You're a star, Al Roker," Lauer said.
Lawrence took home the Oscar for best actress for her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook."
