'The Amazing Race': Injury At The Mat Could Mean The End For One Team (VIDEO)

'The Amazing Race': Tragedy At The Mat Could Be The End

There was heartbreak at the mat on "The Amazing Race" for father-son team Dave and Connor. They were in a foot race for first place in only the second leg of the race when Dave slowed down dramatically. Connor had been pushing for his father to pick up the pace when Dave suddenly felt a pain and immediately knew what it was. He was pretty sure he ruptured his achilles tendon.

They still managed a solid second place finish, but now the worry is that their time on the Race may come to an end due to injury. Jessica and John, who have both Express Passes, were immediately thinking about game play. They'd made a pact last week to give their second Pass to the team in their alliance who'd finished that leg second. That team happened to be Dave and Connor.

"If Dave’s out of the race, that gives Jessica and I more options," John said. They'd already been considering going against the pact. But TV Grapevine felt the gameplay talk at that moment was inappropriate, writing, " Instead of, you know, caring, Jessica and John seem more concerned over the stupid Express Pass."

Reality Wanted has their fingers crossed that the duo can continue, but promos for the next episode make the diagnosis look pretty grim.
