"Catfish: The TV Show" certainly got viewers' attention during its first season. The tales of online lies and deception made for some very uncomfortable first meetings for online couples, and there was still a mix of happy and unhappy endings. But how have they fared since then? "Catfish: The TV Show: The Reunion Show" brought back several of the spotlighted couples to answer that question.
It's not a very encouraging answer. While not everyone was at the reunion, none of the couples that were there are still together. And in fact, some of them are still feeling angry and betrayed, like Sunny. Sunny's story was told in the premiere. She thought she was dating a model named Jamison, but it was really another woman named Chelsea.
At the reunion, Chelsea said that people were very sympathetic and understanding of her since the episode aired. But Sunny wasn't buying it, saying, "That’s just a lie. I can’t imagine how everyone would be understanding."
"But you aren't everyone," Chelsea responded.
Hollywood.com was disappointed that some of the other couples didn't appear on the show, but Wetpaint did get the scoop that at least one of those -- Alex and Kya -- are also not together. So lying online is not looking like a good way to establish a successful, long-term relationship.
More people will get the chance to come clean, as "Catfish: The TV Show" has begun casting for Season 2.
