CU-Boulder Police Investigating Man's Death In Libby Hall, Report No 'Ongoing Threat'

Police Investigate Death At CU-Boulder Dorm

Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man found Tuesday night in a Libby Hall dormitory room on the University of Colorado campus, officials say.

Emergency crews first received the call at 8:28 p.m., according to Ryan Huff, a spokesman for the CU Police Department. Huff would not say if there was yet an apparent cause of death suspected in the case.

"We do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the university community," he said. "It is really early in the investigation, and that is about all I can say at this point."

Department detectives and officials with the Boulder County Coroner's Office are investigating. The man's body is in the custody of the Coroner's Office, which will be responsible for releasing his identity and determining the cause and manner of death.

Libby Hall houses about 400 students. ___
