Now Maradona is also a tennis player!

Far from using his feet to hit the ball, soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona has been spotted in Dubai playing tennis and surrounded by some of the most recognized athletes in the sport, according to a report published by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

On Wednesday, the Argentine legend met tennis player Roger Federer and was photographed at his side, clearly enjoying the reunion.

"You are No. 1," said Maradona to the Swedish player, who currently ranks second in the ATP rankings.

During his stay to participate in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, the current Argentinian ambassador of Dubai Sports Council didn't miss the chance to meet other renowned athletes like Djokovic Dova.

According to the organization, prior to their meetings with the two elite athletes, the player tested their skills in tennis and played some points against his compatriot Juan Martin del Potro.

"It is a pleasure to spend time with Diego. All Argentines love him, and he is our No. 1 representation in the sports world. Hitting some balls with him here in this state, it's wonderful," said Del Potro about the experience.

And how does Maradona play tennis? Del Potro assures: "He played very well, not as well as he plays football, but he hits the ball. It was a fun time for both of us. He loves tennis."
