Richard Ulrich Allegedly Threatens Ex-Boss With Stake Years After Being Fired

Talk about sticking it to the man.

Richard Ulrich, 53, threatened to kill his former boss for firing him a few years ago, brandishing a "stake type" stick, according to a news release from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say that Ulrich walked into the woman's Spring Hill, Fla. home at around 4 p.m. Monday. After threatening to kill her, he poked her repeatedly with the large stick and demanded that she give him money, the release states. The woman told officials she gave Ulrich the $18 she had in her wallet, but he told her he needed $1,000 so he could leave Florida.

The quick-thinking woman says she told Ulrich that she had to go to the ATM in order to get enough cash. When they walked out of her home she sprinted to her neighbor's house for safety, and Ulrich fled.

Deputies tracked down Ulrich and arrested him the next day on charges of home invasion and false imprisonment. Investigators say Ulrich said he had wanted to "intimidate the victim and scare her for firing him," and admitted to wielding a stick. They also say he claimed he never threatened to kill her, and didn't remember taking her money.

The release states that "His bond has been set at NO BOND."
