Raymond Kallenberger Allegedly Leads Maryland Police On Minivan Chase, Crashes In River, Gets Naked

Police Chase Ends In Nudity

A man wanted for armed robbery and a carjacking in Maryland ended a 90-mph police chase when he drove into the Susquehanna River.

Raymond David Kallenberger, 23, led police from Maryland to Pennsylvania Sunday morning and tried to "ram" them twice before taking a nude post atop the sinking minivan in Goldsboro, Penn., the York Daily Record reported.

The high-speed pursuit began after police were notified of a 1997 Plymouth Voyager driving erratically and missing its back tire, according to the York Dispatch. A cab company had reported the minivan missing earlier that day.

The chase lasted more than 20 miles, through three jurisdictions, before Kallenberger landed in about eight feet of water in the Susquehanna River.

Authorities arrested the bare suspect after the van sank, and he swam to shore. He was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence and possessing stolen property.
