Coming up with a creative name for a celebrity baby has become an increasingly daunting task. As trends such as naming offspring after edible objects or geographic locations have become prominent, the possibilities are seemingly endless and thus likely to cause tension among parents faced with the difficult decision.
So, it's no surprise that Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria have conflicting ideas over what to call their unborn child. On a recent episode of "The Rachael Ray Show," Hilaria revealed that Alec is partial to the name Massimo -- though she's not so sure.
"It's a lovely name," Hilaria, 28, said. "I just don't know. That's a very big name for a very little baby."
The mom-to-be added that she and Alec, 54, come up with new monikers every day and that her husband "thinks he's going to be Mr. Mom."
The couple, who married in June 2012, revealed that they were expecting last month.
"We’re having a baby! It was a surprise, a wonderful surprise," Hilaria told "Extra" in February.
“There’s a scream I heard, which is a scream normally reserved if there’s a spider in the house, not exaggerating," Alec recalled of when his wife took the pregnancy test. "Normally, I will be reading a book. We're in the country, it's quiet, some time to really relax and unwind and sometimes, once a month, you hear ‘Ahhh, Alec, Alec!’ I come upstairs, and there’s a spider on the wall. So then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider.”
