Kobe Bryant On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live': Lakers Star Talks About Playoffs Guarantee, Family (VIDEO)

Kobe Drops By 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

A day after dropping 42 points in a comeback win against the New Orleans Hornets, Kobe Bryant stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Thursday to talk family, the Lakers and even Dennis Rodman's recent trip to North Korea.

Sporting a pair of cheetah-print Nike sneakers, the superstar discussed his six-year-old daughter's competitiveness before transitioning to the struggles of the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this season.

"It's been pretty taxing, physically for me," Kobe confessed. "I have to do a lot to make sure my body's recovering, ready to play the next game."

Later in the interview, Kimmel brought up Kobe's guarantee that the Lakers would make the playoffs.

"If anybody in that locker room would have said, 'Well I don't know if we're going to make it.' I would have called the Buss family up and say 'Cut this guy right now,'" said Bryant.

Kimmel was optimistic about the team's chances of making the postseason, sharing his theory that the Lakers' early disappointments were staged to set up the star-stacked squad for one of the greatest comeback season runs in NBA history.

"It's Los Angeles," Kobe said. "What's a Laker team without drama?"
