Sarah Palin: NYC Soda Ban Ruling A 'Victory For Liberty-Loving' Drinkers

Michael Bloomberg's plan to limit the sale of large, sugary drinks has proven to be one of the most divisive initiatives of his three terms as mayor of New York City.

Opponents of the soda ban were reinvigorated Monday when a judge struck down Bloomberg's measure, calling it 'arbitrary' and 'capricious,' less than a day before it was officially set to be enforced.

Sarah Palin, for example, came out of the woodworks to cheer the judge's ruling:

As Politico points out, Palin may be celebrating too soon, as it remains to be seen if an appellate court will eventually reverse Monday's ruling.

Palin herself might have a little too much time on here hands. The former, half-term governor of Alaska was recently pushed out at Fox News. Matthew Dowd, a former Bush strategist, said she was not "competent enough to keep" her contract there.

Palin and her "liberty-loving" cohorts can at least rest assured: Bloomberg has no plans to ever restrict the consumption of his beloved Cheez-Its.
