Recipes Inspired By Traditional Irish Breakfast

Any Irishman or woman will tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day in Ireland. They really know what it takes to make a breakfast with the fuel and energy to keep going through the day. Though not everyone eats a full Irish breakfast every day (eggs, bacon/rashers, sausage, white and black puddings, fried tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, baked beans and toast), the traditional flavors are just as much appreciated today as ever before.

We've put together a collection of breakfast recipes inspired by a traditional Irish breakfast. You don't need to be Irish to get a taste of the Emerald Isle, and you sure don't have to get on an airplane.

We've included the classic potato boxty, a must-have side dish for Irish breakfast. And we have a number of casseroles that combine all the savory flavors of breakfast -- try a bacon and egg bake with cheese for a change from the usual. And we have a very flavorful hash made with smoked trout. These recipes will inspire you to make a big breakfast or brunch for your family.
