Possible Anonymous Hack Reveals Emma Watson Will Star In 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'?

Did Anonymous Reveal 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Star?

A Twitter account claiming ties to hacker-activist group Anonymous has posted possible dirt on who will star as Anatasia Steele in Focus Features' film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

On March 7, @AnonNewsDE linked to documents that may have been swiped from German studio Constantin Film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, one tidbit from the internal memos pointed to Emma Watson as the 50 Shades leading lady.

But after news about the 22-year-old former "Harry Potter" star's potential attachment to the film started popping up online, Gossip Cop decided to dig into the claims. The site is now reporting that, while Watson might be a on "a studio wish list," she is definitely not confirmed to star in the film.

Rumors that Watson will be involved with the movie version of the best-selling trilogy have been circulating for months. However, the actress has previously denied that there's any truth to such speculation.

Still, as Variety noted, Watson did recently turn down the chance to appear in Disney's live-action version of "Cinderella." And though she is supposedly starring in a spin on another fairy tale -- Guillermo del Toro’s "Beauty and the Beast" -- that film doesn't yet have a start date. This apparent scheduling gap could give Watson time for Fifty Shades, if the role is offered to her, that is.

Either way, the film adaptation of the raunchy novel is still a ways off, so the rumor mill will likely keep churning: A director for the project has yet to be confirmed, and the release date isn't until summer of 2014.
