Women In Shorts (Maybe) Cause Car Crash In 1937 (PHOTO)

PHOTO: Women In Shorts (Maybe) Cause Car Crash

We don't know much about this old photo, but boy, do we love it.

The black and white pic resurfaced on Reddit thanks to Otropajarito, who uploaded the image with the title "Women wearing shorts in public for the first time cause car accident." Reddit users obviously had many conflicting opinions about the veracity of that statement (Did the car really crash? Is this really the first time women wore shorts in public?). What we know is this: The photo comes from the City of Toronto Archives, it was taken in 1937 and it is attributed to "Alexandra Studio."

We also know that this photo is just begging for a caption. Hit us with your best shot in the comments section or on Twitter!
