"Army Wives" continued to transition into a new show during its seventh season. The cast has said goodbye to Claudia Joy, so now it was time to start introducing all those faces new to the show, like singer-turned-actress Ashanti. She plays Latasha, who moves into Roxy's old house.
She's joined on the block by "Vampire Diaries" and "Pretty Little Liars" star Torrey Devitto, who joined with Ashanti in a bonding experience better known to most people as a bar fight. In a very short span of time, viewers were introduced to these two women, as well as Elle McLemore as Holly, a wife going through her husband's deployment for the first time. And Brooke Shields is still waiting in the wings to join the cast.
TV Fanatic is optimistic about this new iteration of the show, writing that "the pros at Lifetime gave the creators of 'Army Wives' just the right amount of leeway to get it right."
After a super-sized Season 6, "Army Wives" is back to 13 episodes for Season 7, so expect things to keep moving quickly on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
