Palo Alto's Carbon-Neutral Electricity Plan Inspires Rap Song (VIDEO)

Some eco-minded Californians are so happy about their city's recent decision to go entirely carbon neutral, they're rapping about it.

Palo Alto, Calif. will soon be one of the first cities in the world to purchase "completely carbon-neutral electricity," according to the city.

After enacting a clean energy plan earlier this month, the city of 65,000 hopes to have long-term renewable resources in place by 2020 that would provide Palo Alto with entirely green power.

Residents are expected to see an annual bump of about $3 in their energy bills, the report says.
