Blue bottle Coffee shop (located in the museum) is offering a menu inspired by famous works of art. From the striking Mondrian primary-color cake to a Thiebaud-inspired Layer Cake, they offer nine options so beautiful they'll make you wonder if you should take a bite or save the pastry for a memento.
We were most impressed with the Rothko toast. It's a simple concept, and one we're surprised we never thought of before, but it makes eating toast so much more beautiful -- and a ton more fun. Since we can't all make our way to San Francisco for a piece of artistic toast, we thought we'd try our hand at it in our own kitchens. Here's what we came up with.
