Lindsay Lohan Jail: Actress Reportedly Could Be Forced To Serve Time If Rehab Isn't An Option

It turns out Lindsay Lohan might not get off as easily as she'd thought, if a new report from TMZ is to be believed.

After Lohan was handed a sentencing that includes 90 days in locked-down rehab in lieu of jail time, TMZ is reporting that no New York rehab clinics force their patients to be locked in, which was one of the terms Lohan's judge specifically ordered. Because a lockdown situation may not be available, Lohan could reportedly be forced to serve that time in the slammer instead.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Lohan's lawyer, Mark Heller, was the one who suggested to prosecutors that the plea bargain, which folds Lohan's jail time into her rehab stint, be implemented on the basis that New York has rehab clinics with guards preventing patients from leaving the vicinity. An official from the organization that oversees New York's rehab facilities reportedly confirmed that no such option exists.

"The sentence was actually 90 days in custody, and lockdown rehab would satisfy that," a source reportedly said. "If there's no such thing, then she'll go to jail for 90 days."

Prosecutors are now checking to verify that Heller's representation was accurate.

A source close to Lohan reportedly told X17 that the 26-year-old actress wants to complete her rehab in New York because "she considers New York her home now" and she's less likely to be inundated by paparazzi there than in Los Angeles.

It seems overall that Lohan isn't especially worried about her purported lockdown, as she was spotted attempting to enter a Hollywood nightclub on Monday, just hours after receiving her sentencing. The paparazzi were reportedly so unruly that she didn't make it though the door, although Lohan took to Twitter the next day to deny that she was present at all.
