Steven Carell On Staying Grounded: 'I Like To Be Pretentious'

Steve Carell dropped by "Chelsea Lately" to talk about staying humble as a big-time television and movie star. When she asked him how he managed to stay ground, despite all of his success, Carell responded that it's quite simple. He doesn't.

"I like to be pretentious. That’s sort of my thing now," he said.

"Yeah, you are," Handler agreed. "You have a really bad reputation of being, like, an assh*le."

Of course, the two were joking around. Carell said that his wife would actually "kick [his] a**" if he ever got a big head. As evidence that he isn't, Carell recently Tweeted a heartfelt "love you" message to his former castmates on "The Office" for that show's final day of filming.

Carell continues his takeover of movies with "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," in theaters now. "Chelsea Lately" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on Bravo.
