Now that former Chicago Blackhawks hockey star Martin Lapointe has a full-time gig with the Montreal Canadiens, he and his wife are bidding adieu to their gorgeous seven-bedroom home in suburban Hinsdale.
The spacious stunner was recently listed for nearly $3.5 million, up from the $2.85 million price he paid in 2011, according to Chicago Block Shopper.
(See photos of the "sexy" Hinsdale home below.)
According to the Estately listing, the "ultra sexy" home is packed with "A-List extras": Carrera marble, radient floors (nice for a guy who always has ice beneath his feet), wine cellar, game room, and "mature landscaping." Six bathrooms is a pretty sweet perk, too.
The rec room — decorated with a hockey jersey, nice touch — and fitness area look cozy and high-end but not ostentatious. Overall, the home is among the better-looking million-dollar spaces in the area. The wood-paneled office and sunroom are additional nice touches.
Though Chicago Curbed notes Lapointe was more successful with the Detroit Redwings than he ever was with the Blackhawks, the guy sure knows how to stock a wine cellar.
