Jim Carrey: Gun Control Opponents Are 'Heartless Motherf--kers'

Who Did Jim Carrey Call 'Heartless Motherf--kers'?

Jim Carrey once again took to Twitter to blast opponents of gun control, calling them "heartless motherf--kers unwilling to bend for the safety of our kids."

The actor was promoting "Cold Dead Hand," a new Funny Or Die bit in which he lambasts the gun lobby and those who refuse to budge on laws regulating gun purchases.

Carrey -- who has over 10 million Twitter followers and only follows his daughter Jane -- has a history of sending out pro-gun control messages. Here are some other tweets he posted this weekend:

His reference to John Lennon's death comes days after Yoko Ono posted a photo of the late Beatle's bloody glasses a plea for more gun control. Lennon was fatally shot outside of his New York apartment building on Dec. 8, 1980.

Two months after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that left 20 children and six adults dead, Carrey angered the right by taking to Twitter to say that those purchasing assault weapons after the massacre have "very little left in their body or soul worth protecting."

And after the Colorado shooting at a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises," Carrey had a similar message.

How does he feel in the wake of his new Funny Or Die clip? "Despised" and "free," Carrey says:
