Marion Cotillard stepped out recently to promote her film "Rust And Bone" in Japan. The actress' Christian Dior "mullet dress," but it was her bangs that reminded us of another fashion-forward actress: Rooney Mara.
Cotillard, the face of Lady Dior, usually graces the red carpet exuding an old Hollywood glamour that pretty much always lands her on our best-dressed list. Her hair is often side-swept or finger-curled in an ode to the '20s. The mother of one has worn short bangs before, but they've been much softer, á la Audrey Hepburn. So to see her with blunt bangs and a stick-straight bob had us doing a double-take. All of sudden, Cotillard feels much more grunge than glamour with her new 'do.
Rooney Mara, also a high-fashion darling (she often wears Givenchy on the red carpet), famously wore her dark hair in a blunt bob while filming "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo." The pale-skinned actress stuck to a stark color palette while promoting the film, wearing black or white avant-garde designs.
Does Marion remind you of Rooney? Do you like her new bangs?
