Usher Calls Himself The 'Black Larry David' Apparently (VIDEO)

The Self-Proclaimed 'Black Larry David'

Usher may be sitting pretty in his spinning red chair on "The Voice," but his comedic timing needs some work.

On "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," he said people on the NBC singing competition (and in general) don't get his humor ... Fallon included, apparently.

Usher: “I’m the new Larry David. I’m black Larry David.”
Fallon: "Wait a second ...”
Usher: “I’m kind of misunderstood. I curb your enthusiasm.”

Usher also joked about believing in spirit animals and, considering the power went out right before the singer came on, Fallon really didn't know what to do. "I don’t know what to believe anymore,” Fallon said. ”It’s a tricky interview for me.”

"The Voice" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" airs weekdays at 12:35 a.m. on NBC.
