Cate Blanchett Signs Armani Fragrance Deal Worth $10 Million: REPORT (UPDATED)

Cate Blanchett Reportedly Signs Armani Fragrance Deal Worth $10 Million

What's better than the sweet smell of success? The sweet "cha-ching" of $10 million.

Cate Blanchett has reportedly signed on as the face of Giorgio Armani's women's fragrances, reports the New York Post. The Post writes that the deal is worth a reported $10 million -- a major chunk of change for a celebrity perfume contract. (For comparison's sake, Brad Pitt reportedly signed with Chanel for $7 million, while Leighton Meester signed with Vera Wang for $3 million.)

We've reached out to Armani to confirm the news of Blanchett's deal. Either way, a Blanchett-Armani pairing would make a lot of sense. The Australian actress has been wearing Armani for years, sitting front row at the brand's couture shows and sporting the label on the red carpet.

As any fashion magazine reader knows, Cate is already the face of SK-II, a high-end skincare line with ads in seemingly every fashion publication. But Armani is definitely a step up -- and should reports of Cate's contract be true, the ads will no doubt be impossibly gorgeous.

UPDATE: Women's Wear Daily has confirmed that Cate will be the face of Giorgio Armani Parfums. First up, the Aussie will be fronting the campaign for a new eau de parfum called “Sí” at the end of summer. Get ready for some stunning shots.
