Rand Paul On Guns: 'I'm A ‘Good ‘Ol Shotgun Guy' (VIDEO)

Obama And Rand Paul Have Something In Common

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and President Barack Obama have something in common.

Paul appeared on Fox News Thursday to take a stand against gun legislation and discuss his support for the Second Amendment. But when the conversation turned toward personal gun preferences, Paul made his favorite clear.

"I’m a good ‘ol shotgun guy," Paul said. "I grew up not being really much of a hunter or a marksman or anything like that but I would shoot skeet and still do shoot skeet on occasion with friends."

The White House released a photo of Obama participating in skeet shooting at Camp David in January amid skepticism surrounding Obama's claim that he enjoyed the sport.

Paul, who made national headlines for his 13-hour filibuster against drone strikes earlier this month, announced plans with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Tuesday to block a motion to proceed to debate on gun legislation.
