'True Blood' Season 6 Preview: Billith, Blood And Guns (VIDEO)

War Is Coming To 'True Blood'

Good news: "True Blood" Season 6 looks like it won't tone down the crazy, at least if this new preview is any indication.

The new 30-second spot features all your favorite characters from Pam to Lafayette, but it looks like there have been happier times in Bon Temps. But Bill is still bloody Billith, Alcide is shirtless and Tara and Pam still seem ... complicated.

There have been some behind-the-scenes changes on "True Blood." Alan Ball stepped down as showrunner to work on new projects and was replaced by Mark Hudis. Hudis then stepped down as showrunner in the middle of production. He's been replaced by Brian Buckner.

Carrie Preston, Arlene on "True Blood," told The Huffington Post that it's been interesting having new blood on the show. "It still has the flavor of 'True Blood,' as it always will, but it does have something -- a little spring in its step in an interesting way, I think," she said. "Everybody is finding the new chemistry between all of that and all those players. And of course, with 'True Blood,' there's always still a million new characters that are being introduced. I don't know how they keep that many balls in the air and continue to juggle, but they do."

"True Blood" Season 6 kicks off Sunday, June 16 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO
