Tennis Melvin Maynard Suspected Killer Of Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum

Police say Tennis Melvin Maynard, 37, is suspected of shooting Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum dead outside a West Virginia courthouse.

Maynard was arrested and treated for a gunshot wound at a hospital near the crime scene in Williamson, WSAZ reports. A witness reportedly saw Maynard fleeing in his truck after the shooting.

Crum was reportedly in his car eating lunch when another vehicle pulled up alongside him. When Crum rolled down the window, Maynard allegedly shot him several times, killing him.
