LOOK: Lil Wayne Makes Public Appearance After Scare

Lil Wayne made one of his first public appearances since a hospitalization earlier this month that sent rumors flying around the music world -- and naturally, he popped up at a South Beach nightclub.

The rapper "looked healthy and fresh-faced as he sipped on water" while presiding over a VIP table at Mansion Monday night, a source told The Huffington Post. Lil Wayne showed up with Cash Money founder Birdman for the club's Excess Mondays party, where he stayed to celebrate rapper Rocko's album release party past 3 a.m.

Alltheparties.com caught the rapper looking anything but peaked:

TMZ initially reported that Wayne was in critical condition and "being prepared for his last rites" when he was fist hospitalized in Los Angeles March 15, prompting a scathing attack on the gossip site from label mate Mack Maine.

After being released following nearly a week in ICU, Wayne denied reports he had overdosed on a cough syrup cocktail called sizzurp, announcing he has epilepsy:

"The thing is, man, the bad news is, I'm an epileptic, I'm prone to seizures," he told Power 106's DJ Felli Fel. "This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures; y'all just never hear about them. This time it got real bad because I had three of 'em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. Basically, I could've died. So, that's why it was so serious."

Last week, Wayne turned up at the venerable Tampa Pro skateboarding contest at Skatepark of Tampa. On Monday night, our source says he was joined by Busta Rhymes, who made his own headlines later Tuesday morning.
