On a night that included the record for the lowest attendance ever at Safeco field, it was actually one of the few fans in the stands who provided perhaps the top highlight.
In the eighth inning of the Mariners-Astros game on Wednesday night, Seattle first baseman Justin Smoak tipped a pitch over the visitor's dugout that made its way to the bottom of a fan's cup. To celebrate his new souvenir, the man chugged his beverage as the crowd cheered him on.
Lucky for the fan, who seemed to spill much of his beverage, he wasn't at National's Park.
