Abraham Lincoln Assassination: 16th President Gunned Down At Ford's Theatre 148 Years Ago

Nearly a century and a half after he was assassinated, President Abraham Lincoln's achievements continue to be remembered.

Sunday marks 148 years since Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865 at the Ford's Theatre in Washington. Americans across the United States are honoring his memory, with events ranging from a gathering of Lincoln impersonators in Ohio this weekend, to a concert later this month in New York, drawing upon some of Lincoln's own writings.
