David Plouffe will be Bloomberg TV's newest contributor, the network announced in a statement on Thursday.
Politico reported that the former White House advisor will appear on the network to speak about politics and business. Plouffe — who managed President Obama's campaign in 2008 and later served as his senior advisor — will also advise Bloomberg TV on strategy.
"I am excited for both the on and off air relationship with Bloomberg," Plouffe said in the statement.
He is credited as the man who crafted Obama's 2008 victory. His new role with Bloomberg though, comes after he signaled that he is done with campaign politics. When asked what he would tell Hillary Clinton in the event that she asked him to run her potential 2016 campaign, he said in March, "No, I will not run your campaign...because I'm done with that."
Plouffe left the White House when Obama began his second term earlier this year. Obama said at his farewell, "were it not for him, we would not have been as effective a White House, and I probably wouldn’t be here."
