Pea Shoot Recipes (PHOTOS)

Besides the fact that they taste just like sugar snap peas.

Growing your own peas is great for two reasons: eating the peas straight from the vine (trust us, you've never tasted peas this good) and pea shoots. You may not have realized that there's more to the pea vine than just peas, most people don't, but the curly tendrils and budding leaves that take over the vine are edible -- and taste just like peas, too.

Pea shoots make a great base for a salad -- can you think of anything better than a salad that tastes entirely of fresh sugar snap peas? -- but is also a great addition to sandwiches and pastas. If you don't have a place to grow your own peas, don't despair, pea shoots are popular at farmers markets and have been popping up at some grocery stores too.
