White Student Union Clashes With Other Groups During May Day Protests (VIDEO)

White Student Union Protester: 'I Got Urine Thrown On Me'

A group that calls itself a White Student Union clashed with protesters in Washington, D.C. during May Day demonstrations.

Matthew Heimbach, president of the White Student Union, told CNN he was hit with urine during a protest on Wednesday.

"We were here to protest communism and to stand up for the blue collar working class," Heimbach said. "And then I got urine thrown on me, so it shows really how tolerant these people are."

Videos posted to YouTube show the clash between members of the White Student Union and other protesters demonstrating on what is known as International Workers' Day.

“What brought you fuckers out here today?” a person says in one video.

Protesters rallying against the White Student Union can be seen chanting, "Hey, hey, ho, ho, fascist scum has got to go!" and "Bigots go home!"

CNN reports one person was arrested in Washington during the May 1 protests, according to U.S. Park Police.

This isn't the first time the White Student Union has caused a stir. The group, formed by students at Towson University in Maryland, made headlines in April when it announced plans to do night patrols of the school's campus to to fend off "black predators."
