Legendary songwriter Linda Perry recently stopped by HuffPost Live to discuss her decision to leave her '90s rock band 4 Non Blondes, her favorite artists to work with, being openly lesbian in the music industry and more.

The fiance to former "Roseanne" star and TV host Sara Gilbert, said that being gay is just a part of who she is and she's a very open person.

"It's not that I'm gay, it's just I am gay. Me not showing that I'm gay would be me hiding my hair," Perry said. "Or tucking my arms. It's just a part of who I am. I've been gay my whole life."

The producer, who has penned songs for Pink, Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani added, "Some people are just very private. Me, I'll tell you everything. I'm such a big mouth."

In April, Gilbert announced the couple's engagement on her talk show, "The Talk".
