At 7 months, most babies can roll onto their stomachs and sit without help from mom or dad, according to Baby Center. But for one Australian Ryder Blair, those moves are amateur hour. Baby Ryder is learning how to waterski.
Ryder's mom, Tamara, posted a video of her son on YouTube with a caption that read, in part, "This is our son Ryder learning to ski at the age of 7.5 months at Lake Dyer, Queensland. Please note: he is not actually behind a boat he is just being pulled along the shoreline. Next step is to get him beside the boat next season when its warmer again."
Shallow or not, the clip is certainly unbelievable to watch. (Seriously, look at that guy go!). Not surprisingly, folks are taking issue with Mom's safety note. In reference to the point that Ryder isn't attached to a boat, Hypervocal asks, "Does that make it better?" One YouTube commenter simply wrote: "HELMET."
We hope that Ryder's parents are taking all of the safety precautions possible, and we wouldn't recommend trying this at home.
However, if we're speaking for all of the other babies out there (and that's what we are doing, right?) ... we have two words for Ryder: "Show off."
