Bryce Howard House Sold In Hollywood Hills (PHOTOS)

It's tough being the daughter of a famous Hollywood icon when you deserve to recognized for your own talents instead of what your daddy does. But the one level playing field invariably comes in the real estate market -- buyers don't give a hoot about who your papa is.

Which may be what actress Bryce Dallas Howard -- that would be daughter of legendary director Ron Howard -- has learned. She just sold her Hollywood Hills home for $2.455 million, a property she and her husband Seth Gabel bought in 2006 for $2.9 million. That's a big owie for the little people, but maybe not among the Hollywood crowd.

The 1931 Mediterranean home she and her husband just sold has a sauna, wine cellar and vine-covered loggia with some pretty outstanding canyon views. There's an outdoor fireplace and large grass lawn, and the whole shebang is gated.

As Zillow's blog noted, it's likely the Hollywood family will stay in the area as Howard's career as an actress and director continues to garner critical and box office success. The actress and director won a cast Screen Actors Guild award in 2012 for her part in the 2011 film “The Help."
