Maya Angelou: Oprah And Legendary Poet Talk Greatest Blessings (VIDEO)

WATCH: What Is The Mark Of A Great Mother?

Dr. Maya Angelou -- poet, author, filmmaker, producer, activist, actress and teacher -- has put out so much art in the world, from her bestselling books to her dramatic plays. The 85-year-old renaissance woman has a lot to be proud of, but she says that there are two blessings that stand out among the rest.

In this clip from an upcoming episode of "Super Soul Sunday," Dr. Angelou sits down with Oprah for a talk about those blessings. "My greatest blessing has been the birth of my son," she reveals, referring to Guy Johnson, the child she had at age 16. "My next greatest blessing has been my ability to turn people into children of mine."

This ability resonates quite clearly with Oprah. "Do you know what your greatest gift to me is?" she asks Dr. Angelou. "[It's] that every one of us who considers ourselves to be your daughter or your sons -- every one of us thinks we're the most special. I think that is the mark of a great mother, to make everyone feel like they're the special one."

"And, you know, you really are," Dr. Angelou says to Oprah with a laugh.

Catch Maya Angelou on part one of a new episode of "Super Soul Sunday" airing Sunday, May 12, at 11 a.m. ET on OWN. You can also join the worldwide simulcast on Oprah.com, Facebook.com/SuperSoulSunday or Facebook.com/OWNTV.
