WATCH: Uninvited Mother's Day Visitor

A Broward County family got an unexpected surprise when they woke on Mother's Day and saw an 8-foot-alligator staring at them through their front door.

"I thought my husband had bought one of those blow up alligators because he's a big prankster," Jan Castaneda told WSVN. "And then the alligator started breathing. And when his eyelids closed I knew it was the real thing."

"It's been hissing all morning," the couple's son said.

The Castanedas called the Gator Boys, who trap the large reptiles and work with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.

Watch the video above to see trapper Paul Bedard drag the gator away from the house, tape its mouth, and even give it a little kiss.

Bedard and his team took the gator to nearby Everglades Holiday Park, reports NBC 6.
