Fan Catches Hunter Pence's Bat During Giants-Blue Jays Game (VIDEO)

WATCH: Giants OF Loses His Bat

It's usually the ball that most batters have trouble with when facing Toronto knuckleballer and 2012 NL Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey. But during one plate appearance, San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence had a tough time holding onto his bat.

In the top of the sixth inning, Pence took a hack at the first pitch he saw. Pence not only missed the ball, his bat slipped from his hands and went flying into the seats behind the Blue Jays dugout. After some visible anxiety from Dickey on the mound, nerves were calmed when a fan stood proudly wielding his new souvenir.

"A Blue Jays fan just caught it right out of the air," the announcers lauded. "That's one tough Canadian, right there."

Two pitches later, Pence doubled on a line drive to left field. But Dickey struck out the next three batters to end the inning. The Blue Jays went on to win 10-6.
