WASHINGTON -- A celebrity chef, a CNN correspondent and a member of Congress stepped up to the plate last week at Nationals Park for the Home Runs for Horton's Kids fundraiser.
The annual event helps fund the Horton's Kids organization, which provides academic and other services to some 500 D.C. children and families.
Celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn led the singing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," CNN’s Jake Tapper spoke to the crowd and Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) took some cuts in the batting cage. The kids also ran Nationals Park with everyone's favorite Racing President, Teddy.
