Federer's First Serve On Twitter

Roger Federer has delivered his first serve on Twitter.

The 17-time Grand Slam winner joined Twitter on Thursday with a verified account. After just one tweet, he began racking up followers at a more prodigious pace than he has picked up Wimbledon titles.

While tennis fans previously relied on the tweets from @PseudoFed in order to glimpse into the #humble mind of the tennis great, they will now be able to go directly to the source.

Federer picked up more than 60,000 followers in just a few hours. Meanwhile, his first five follows were @ATPWorldTour, @AustralianOpen, @usopen, @Wimbledon and @rolandgarros.

Among those who noticed his Twitter debut, were a few of Federer's fellow tennis players.
